About Us
Welcome to our website! We hope you are receiving the grace and peace of Christ in your life. Please allow us to tell you a little bit about our church community. These are some of the things we are passionate about at the Hilliard Church of the Nazarene:

LOVING OUR GOD

LOVING ONE ANOTHER

LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS

Let us develop these three concepts a little more fully…

LOVING OUR GOD
It is important for us to begin here as we seek to explain our identity and our purpose. We want to love our God above all else. We believe that every human being has a beautiful opportunity to be reconciled to God as a result of the sacrifice Jesus Christ made by willingly dying on a cross. The primary reason Christ gave his life was so humans could be fully restored to their Creator in a relationship of intimacy and obedience. Living and experiencing this intimate relationship with God is at the heart of our identity as a church.

LOVING ONE ANOTHER
We understand that living the Christian life calls us to loving relationships with other Christian brothers and sisters. God calls us to intimate, spiritual relationships with one another in his church. We can no longer settle for relationships inside the church that are only surface and shallow. We will seek meaningful connections with one another. We will learn to rejoice with one another during the times of joy, and we will commit to mourn with one another during the days of pain and heartache. We will take the journey of faith together.

LOVING OUR NEIGHBORS
The love of God in our hearts and lives compels us to meaningfully reach out to and genuinely love our neighbors. The term “neighbors” can have a broad meaning. Generally speaking, we believe God calls us to love people in our world and show them God’s love through us. This may include our co-workers, neighbors, family members, etc… For our church, we also believe God wants us to make a loving impact on the literal neighborhood that surrounds our church facility. We want our neighborhood to know we care about them and they matter to us.
